Today, I went to Roosevelt Island with Becky and Carrie. Carrie's goal is to visit all the islands while we're in NYC. I don't know what Roosevelt Island is for, but it has really nice views of Manhattan. The ferry is free during the summer so that was a plus!
There must have been some type of event on the island because there were a lot of weird people in costumes around. We saw some guys dressed up in medieval times with swords in hand waiting for some sort of fight to begin.
The girls and I also got on the swings in the playground. It was funny because only adults were playing the swings. I haven't swung since I was kid and it was actually quite exhilarating!
